ok when I hit the brakes my whole car shakes almost like the rotors are warped but I took off the wheels and looked at the rotors and it doesn't look like they are warped.. is it a small difference when they are warped? and is there anything it could be besides that? please help this is driven me nuts

 

well check ur pads??? and just because the rotors don't look warped to you don't mean they ain't gone.. my rotors looked perfectly fine too but since they have been shaved down so many times it was time for replacement and upgrade brake rotor and pads... after changing them it never shaked again...

 

YES.. I JUST CHANGED MY TWO FRONG ROTORS.. COST ABOUT 550.00. SOMTHING ABOUT THE SPEK WAS VERY LOW ON THEM. THEY WOULDNT PUT PADS ON .. BECAUSE THE ROTORS WILL EVENTUALLY GRIND THEM UP ANYWAY. SO I HAD TO DO IT I GUESS. I SHOULDVE GOT AFTER MARKET ROTORS. O WELL TO LATE NOW. BUT DRIVES ALOT BETTER. MY CAR DIDNT SHAKE TO BAD. JUST THAT IT HAD NASTY SOUNDS TO IT.

 

daymn 550$????? i paid 180 for upgraded rotor and new pads.... u gotta move here its cheaper lolz...

 

Definitely sounds like warped rotors. I really doubt you could tell they are warped by looking at them. I'd definitely get them turned or replaced. Any time I've had a front end vibration under braking, warped rotors has always been the culprit...

 

mine only shakes when the cars been out for awhile.. hmmm when it comes to warped rotors...i get scared
