brakes
ok so this is just a question... but have any of you actually went from regular brake rotors to slotted/cross drilled and switched only the rotors? I havent really ever had a problem with brake fade on my car... and i use the shit outta the brakes... isnt that all that helps? I know for a fact that all that shit just wears out pads faster but have any of you just done the rotors and noticed anything? just wondering.
all the slot/drilled are for is cooling...colder brakes = better stopping..you want more stopping power...get a bigger brake kit...or some better pads..the pads will help a little...but the slot/drilled rotors are just meant to keep it cool....
I think slotted rotors are also supposed to help reduce gas buildup or something to that extent.
I also plan on doing some brakework soon (hence the spindle nut q). I put PowerSlot rotors and axxis pads on my old car (del sol). I didn't really notice much of a difference, not to justify the cost anyway. The rotors do look nicer tucked in there, but it's not worth it in my opinion. I'm sure others will disagree.

the slotted and drilled keeps the rotors cooler by venting the rotors... will wear your pads down quicker... since the brakes cool down faster/ don't heat up as fast you get better braking more consistantly. change your pads too... do sense messing up surface of your new rotors.
with them......to cool them down....like touring or things of that nature.....they use it so that the rotors wont get so hot they crack or maybe even melt....because they are contantly braking a lot.....!
