How will this fit?
How will this fit?
Hello -
I apologize if there is an ongoing thread that this should be submitted to, but I'm wondering if you guys can help confirm how the following configuration will fit on a '13 TL SH-AWD Elite Package (Canadian version of Advance I believe).
F- Vossen CV3 19x8.5 +30
R - Vossen CV3 19x10 +36
Tires:
Hankook Ventus V12 245/40R19 and 275/35R19
Coils:
Tein Street Advance
Will I have any rubbing issues with this? Should I be considering a camber kit as well?
Thanks in advance!

it's all dependent on your drop.
and you have coils, so your drop could put you literally ANY where.
this is why most say to drop your ride first.
once you have figured out where you want to be, height wise, then all your other pieces of the puzzle will fall in place.

Yea it will all fit, just depends on the look you are going for. Your speedometer is gonna be off a bit running the 275 35 19. Technically you should run a 40 side wall on a 19. You may get away with a mild drop (doubtful) with no rub but you will definitely rub if you try to lower it a lot. 275 is a wide tire and there will be zero stretch which isn't a bad thing but makes it hard to do a moderate drop with the wheels being flush with the fender. If you ran like a 245/35/19 you could have a semi low drop but you would probably still need to roll your rear fenders if you ever plan on having 2 people in the back seat.
If it was my car I would go with a front 225/40/19 - rear 255/35/19 tires on those wheels.
I have no idea what look you are going for though so it's hard to guide you. How come you want to go 19?

Why don't you run a square setup of 19x10 all around to keep the tires the same size? Run 245/40 to keep as close to the same circumference as possible. It will only be tenths of an inch bigger than the OEMs. Your tire sizes are spot on though to get the correct rolling diameter with those wheels. I think you will rub with that set up though. But if you go with a square setup and 245/40 all round then I don't think you will rub at all. And yes, I recommend a camber kit.

I didn't realize that a 40 side wall was ideal - the tire sizes in my original post were suggested by the dealer I'm buying the rims from. If I understand your suggested sizes correctly, you're recommending I buy smaller tires to allow more room for a drop? I'm new to the tire sizing world, so forgive me if I misunderstood
I'm wanting the achieve a noticable drop (ie. the lowest I can go), have a tight looking fit on the rims, and avoid rubbing as much as possible. As for getting 19s, I just can't afford to go for the 20s.

Hey everyone -
So, two things...
1) I've decided to go with 20" instead of 19" on the CV3s, gave it some thought and would rather spend the money now rather than regret it later
2) one of the shops I spoke to today recommended the following:
20x9
20x10.5
245/35/20 all around
What are your guys thoughts on running 245 all around, taking into consideration a 1.5inch drop?

Good idea going with the 20's. I definitely think you would have wished you did if you didn't.
Weird that they would suggest the same tire setup for different size wheels. I think it will look funny. Your going to have a semi aggressive stretch in the rear and hardly any in the front.
There is no need to roll the front fenders, I don't even know if there is anything to really roll in the front.
My old tire setup was rub free with a drop on springs. I had 225-35-20 front and 255-30-20 in the rear. My new tire setup required a rear fender roll 245-35-20 front and 275-30-20 rear. I think 275-30-20 is a cheaper tire though, it must be more common.

Thanks for getting back to me, that's what I suspected. Oddly enough, when I suggested 225-35-20 front and 255-30-20 as you mentioned, they were like "oh...wow, those are way too small", then eventually recommended 245/35/20 all around :S
I think I'll end up going with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 and just do the rear fender roll since it seems to be the most consistent recommendation. How low were you able to drop with the 275s on the back? I'm hoping for around 1.5".
