Dedicated rims thread for the 09' TL

Is there a dedicated rims thread for the 09' TL? I'm already looking for upgrades and there's not much out there yet. I got to have at least 19" rims and a lower profile. These stock rims and 50 profile tires may feel nice on the road but look too "over 65" in my opinion.

Have you thought about the 19's upgrade rims from Acura?....either the Chrome-Look alloys (which I have) or the Diamond-cut alloys. I got mine from E-bay and saved a bundle. There's also those 20" M6 replica wheels on Ebay. Check it out. (Also, Rondog is working on some 4G custom wheels, too).

I couldn't find yours on Ebay, I dig those. I saw the Black 19" Orion's, that would be pretty sweet. I'm gonna have to do more research.

What about WINTERS???

Hey, the snow is coming....

Will the stock 17inch rims fit the SHAWD??? the more sidewall the better for snow tires....right?

Still waiting for my SH-AWD....going crazy over here!?!?!?!?!?! what the crap.

I'm sure the 17's will fit.....both the AWD and FWD cars have the same rotor size. The sidewall affects more the ride quality. For snow traction, it's the tread pattern and tire width that makes the biggest difference. If you want the best traction in the snow, go with dedicated snow/winter tires.

I think that the 19" wheels from the HPT package is quite a nice aggressive match with the 4G TL.

They are indeed, in fact I would probably keep those stock rims, but not for $3500 more which the dealer wanted. For about $2400 I'm moving to TSW's on 19's, the black on black is gonna look sick.

If anybody is interested, we have an Acura dealer in Houston TX, Sterling McCall Acura, who will be stocking all different kinds of RonJon Wheels combinations, like the Legends in Liquid graphite, and Liquid Silver, also the Inspyres in liquid graphite. in About 1-2 weeks they will have them on showroom cars and on display in the parts dept. I can't wait to see them on the new TL.

Will they showcase them on the 4G TL?

Yes, that's what were talking about the 09's, unless there is a hidden agenda I don't know about. Texas is a little far for me...someone post pics please.

Here's a very crude mach up of the TSW Black Gloss Jarama's. Sorry Pete to hijack your TL.

Very sporty looking. I don't care for blue cars though, but those rims compliment the lines very nicely. I noticed the painted blue grill to match. I feel that the painted grill and bumper need factory paint to match the rest of car, it's really apparent in my Black Pearl. It looks almost matte as opposed to the rest of the car.

Is that car lowered? I'm curious as to why all car pictures are from the front driver side?

Sadness. The 19" TSW Jarama's won't fit. Apparently Acura changed so much with the bolt patterns and offsets, that most of the rims out there won't fit. At least that's what I'm being told. Anyone have any insight?

The TL uses the same Bolt Pattern as the 2G MDX, so you should start from there. The 19" wheel option from the MDX would look pretty good with the TL.

I've never heard the term "chop" in Photoshop, we just say Photoshop'd. I thought you were referring to a modification in the car?

It's a term made popular by the intarweb.

Yeah, its an edited photo, but we do offer discounts to those who can provide us with pictures of their car with our wheels on it. Usually its reserved for the kind of vehicles we don't have existing images of, like the 09 TL. So for those looking to capitalize on this situation, call in to find out more info. It doesn't hurt that the wheels are also made to fit the TL perfectly.

A nice selection Ron. I would like to see some options with a black gloss finish for my Black Pearl! They also look very busy for my tastes and would take some time to clean. I'm still looking for a black 5 spoke winner for my Black Pearl TL. The wheeltech.com website just makes me spin with options!

For you wheel experts, will the 2005-2008 RL 17" wheels fit the 09 TL? I notice the bolt pattern and offset is similar to 09 TL wheel, just do not know if the hub area will fit. Want to use these rims for snow tires.
