Window Streaks

Heard someone mention this in another post, and I think I'm experiencing it also. It snowed here 3 days ago, and the car has been dry ever since. Today though, I rolled down the window and when I rolled it back up, the whole thing was streaked from top to bottom. My old car didn't do this, so what gives? Kinda ruins my car wash experience, being that I smoke and now can't roll down my windows without ruining the look of a freshly washed car. Anybody know of a reason/remedy?

I have noticed this after washing the car. Don't believe my 3G did the same. something must hold some moisture in the window mech

I have had 5 3G TL cars and I never roll down windows after a wash for 24 hours for this reason, water gets dragged but up window.

That's normal though. This is happening after 3+ days of no water hitting the windows!

I've never had that happen to me, my windows have come out clean on every (20+) TL's that I've driven. My guess is that you had the windows tinted and the moleskin did that...

I see streaks! It's finally drizzling in LA, yeah! The news calls it a winter storm watch! LOL. But I see what you guys are talking about now. I had a thick water stripe about 2" wide on my driver side door, when I pulled in out of rain, sorry DRIZZLE. So what can we do?

Same here. Streaking on my car is worse since I had the windows tinted so I don't roll the windows down for a 3+ days after a wash, but the tint I have is pretty thick. Looks like it might rain in SoCal this week so I'll see how long it takes the streaking to stop.

isn't tint usually put on the inside of the windows rather than the top?

My cars have always been done that way...

I love everythingggg about the car besides these streaking windows... I wouldnt even call it streaking, my whole window is just soaked after putting it down and up. Never had this issue in my 3g, makes it almost impossible to keep the windows looking fresh. Next time i wash it i am going to kepp putting all the windows down then up then dry them, then down and up again and dry them, and continue the process until they come up dry lol

good luck with that! Although, it'd be a good form of punishment for a kid that flips people off.
