Water in signal housing

What could be causing this? I noticed a hairline fracture in the lens housing (super small).

More of an FYI, I am going to get new lens and install it. I am going to get som lamin-x for the lights in the front. These things are fragile! Already had 1 fog lamp replaced before I picked up car (used).

I'm no scientist or detective (although I play one on TV) but I do believe the small hairline fracture could somehow cause dihydrogen monoxide to enter the housing and be the cause of said condensation.
