Hi.. a friend of mind is selling his 2010 Acura TL , base with technology package for $27k... it only has 10k miles on it... the price seems very interesting to me, but before I pull the trigger, are any common issues wth the 2010 TL that I should know ? Please advise......

 

Make sure you can live with the headrests, and the trunk space.

20-29 MPG depending on your driving habits - and that's on premium.

warranty would be transferable still, and still under full coverage.

It's a year old Acura; the biggest issues are going to be minor rattles that are usually easy to correct.

 

Only issue to report with mine has been the adhesive underneath the spoiler sticking out due to the hot weather we've been experiencing here in TX. No issues otherwise...

 

11K on my 2010 with no issues to report. Been back for an oil change/tire rotation and that's it. Typical Honda/Acura.

 

not sure why people are complaining about the headrests?
they are fine to me..

+1, but I've only got 58,770 miles on mine so it might be too early to tell

 

 

Moon roof rattle is an issue. The had to replAce the whole track and glass.

I've got 33,000 miles on my 2010 TL and aside from the dealer having to replace the radio at 10,000 miles [it would stick in the off position], I've had no problems to report. No rattles or other annoying noises.

 

Mine is too young to report anything. But that used TL sound like an great deal. I was shopping for about 3 months and never ran into any deal like that.

 

No problems with my 2010 FWD TL Tech with over 25,000 Km on the clock. The headrests are fine for me. Best TL I've had even though the 2001 and 2006 were both very good cars.

 

Mine has 36,000 miles on it and nary a problem. Very nice car.

 

I have a 2010 and it's been a dream so far. My wife also drives an 05 TSX with 55k on it and it's been solid as a rock except the light under seat heater button went out last year.

 

Too bad "shb" didn't update us on his decision.

 

thanks for all the inputs... after driving both the 2010 and 2012, the 6 speeds tranny really made a different.. so I have to forgo the 2010 and considering the 2012

 

Can anyone advise on how best to lubricate the trunk hinges on a '10 TL? I have an annoying squeak in one of those hinges and cannot see how you can get to the hinge itself without removing all the trunk lining.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

Whats the talk about the headrests? Have I missed something? Did the headrest change in the 2012 from the 2010?

 

48k miles, and my clutch squeaks when depressed, front doors rubber moldings along the glass on the windows were replaced. I guess they were warped by the TX heat...
Other than that, the car is solid...looking good still...

 

Back a long while ago with my 2G Integra, the clutch also squeaked while being depressed. The dealership applied some lub, which quieted the clutch for a few months. After the squeaks came back again, they replaced all the rubber grommets for the clutch return spring, and then no more squeaks ever.

 

What's wrong with the headrests?

 

Greetings! Having an issue with passenger AC not blowing air on my 2010 TL. Driver side works perfect. I can feel cold air on the passenger side vents, but not enough flow. Appreciate any help.

 

zombie post rises from the depths. Actually, glad to see this as I am a new owner of a TSX. Looks like it is a solid ride for the most part.
