Washer Fluid Warning

recently installed a hid kit for my fogs, and since then, the washer fluid warning won't go away. i've unplugged the sensor and plugged it back in.

is there anyway to fix myself or do i need to go to a dealer, or is there an option to disable the warning?

add more washer fluid

if that doesn't work try removing the negative terminal of the battery and plug it back in a few minutes.

Did you make sure to use a relay for your fogs?

if i remove the negative terminal of the battery, would i need to get the pin for the nav again?

yeah. you likely will need the PIN.

did the fluid sensor unit maybe go bad.. check the service manual for troubleshooting with a multimeter to see if it maybe shorted out somehow?

Also re: question about fogs and relay, did you?

What is this PIN?
Do you need one every time you unplug the battery?

Yes, every time the battery is disconnected, you will need to enter the PIN to unlock the radio and the navi.

That washer fluid sensor has gone bad on all Acura and Honda products I have owned in the past. Lots of posts in all kinds of Honda related forums out there. Unless you are prepared to spend $100 for a new one, what I would do is disconnect the connector.

For real?
Where would I find this pin? is it on a card somewhere with the warranty stuff? Would the dealer that sold the car have the pin in case I can't find it?

ended up fixing this, took it to a buddy's shop, they pulled the sensor, cleaned it out and plugged it back in. drained my fluid as well, and refilled it. no issues since

Yes for real.
Yes you should have a card with your paperwork
Yes the dealer that originally sold the car will have both the PINs for the radio and nav.
