Slight vinegar smell on startup

2009 TL w/Tech

Every once in a while, i'll start up the car and get a slight vinegar smell that seems to come out of the vents.

the wife and kids smell it more than I do, but it's definitely there.

any ideas on what could be causing it? I've had the car for about 7 months but it only started doing it a few months ago.
thanks a ton,
rp

47k miles... i just bought the car about 7 months ago, so i'm not sure when it was last changed. I just took it in for B1 service - I don't think that was included.
