Removal of driver side turn signal
Removal of driver side turn signal
Only 3000 virgin miles and a rock hit my driver side turn signal and caused a dime sized spider crack.
No puncture so I may just live with it as I don't think water will get in.
However, if I were to replace it, I see that it's held in with a 6mm bolt as evidenced by the exploded assembly diagram. What I am not too sure about is the electrical connection. Is the wire long enough to allow me to pull the assembly out and disconnect or do I have to go through the wheel well to disconnect first and then remove the assembly?
My suspicion is that it's long enough as the instructions for the front under spoiler kit says to remove the connection AFTER pulling off the bumper.
Please don't tell me I have to remove the bumper to do this!

you should be able to get at the wire from underneath the car, might have to remove some plastic gaurding, i don't quite remember. but it is just a quick disconnect to unplug from light housing. I don't believe you will be able to pull the wires through enough, if i remember correctly, they are ziptied to the bumper so they don't flop around.
Thanks for the help.
Stupid me, if I only had read the manual! LOL! It says it right there in plain black and white on how to change the turn signal bulb so therefore I can do the disconnect first. You have to remove the corner air dam piece underneath and losen up the wheel well liner.
Now the question is whether to spend the $75 to replace it.
