Parking brake lever button plastic tip broke off

So a couple of weeks ago, I let my parking brake off and the little piece of plastic on the very tip came off. Dealer said they can't fix it without replacing the entire parking brake lever. So any suggestions about getting this fixed? The brake works fine and this is mostly cosmetic.

WHAT YEAR! MODEL! The parking brake might be different for some 4G models/years.

comes as one whole unit from acura, $140:

LEVER ASSY., HAND BRAKE *NH690L* (PREMIUM BLACK) for 2012 Acura TL SEDAN|47105-TK4-A02ZH : Genuine Acura Parts Cheap : Delray Acura

You could fill with epoxy and paint for cheap fix, or find a wrecked TL near you and get the handbrake from it.

2012-2014 TL use the same part, 09-11 use the same one. The two are slightly different hence the different part numbers. Not sure on cross fitment.

Mine just did the exact same thing....2012 TL Tech

I wonder if we can just rip that button off and snap a replacement back on?

My parking brake button is cracked across the top as well. 2013 TL Tech 6M. Did anyone figure out how to replace the button without replacing the entire parking brake? Thanks!

I use a parking brake all the time. I am going to be more gentle with it.

Did you ever try to fix it or are you living with it? Hoping someone's found an easy fix.

Hmm. Looks like Acura should have stuck with the 09-11 version.

Tell you what... If I ever do pony up to have the dealer fix this, I will ask if that's possible. No way I'd pay for another one of these buttons. My car only has 55,000 miles on it.

What is the difference with the 09-11 cars? Would anyone be willing to post a photo?

There are a few used emergency brake handle assemblies on eBay ranging from $30-$40.

not sure if it can be split, you'd have to swap the whole assembly.
