P0980 after replacing front engine mount, vacuum line is plugged

Just finished replacing my engine mount however I forgot to hook up the vacuum line to the mount itself. Immediately got a transmission error and then the code mentioned above. After about 30 minutes I figured out my mistake, plugged the line with a a screw and went on to drive home with no issues.
however just a few miles from home the transmission light came back on again and I was kicked out of sport mode. Taking off from a stop revealed some incredibly hard shifts to 2nd, just straight up slamming the gear on. I checked to see if the screw had fallen out but it's still there, don't know where to go from here.

I'm no mechanic, but I'd hook the vacuum line up to the mount, as it was when you removed it from the old mount. Presumably it was there for a reason.

Not a mechanical issue, the vacuum line shouldn't have fixed it in the first place

Ended up finding the culprit, somehow cracked the connector housing at the Shift Control Solenoid C and caused an open condition on it.
probably happened when I jacked up the engine to support it, oh well.
