Hello everyone,

Today I just got my car back and the dealer said they replaced the front engine mount, but I still feel the jerk every time I go in reverse. Does any one want to help me locate where the front engine mount is? A picture or good description would be helpful. Thank you.

open the hood, remove the plastic engine cover that sits over the radiator, look straight down between the engine and the radiator, youll see something that looks like this

open hood and look straight down in front of engine, you can't miss it

 

it will have shiny rubber and new look to all of it--
the one behind radiator is `front` mount, and passenger side (actual front of engine) is R side

there may be a trans problem, how is the fluid smelling and looking?
ever change it?
cleaned the selenoids?

or there may be another mount bad- often the r side- pass side goes after the front was broken a while

Dealer should have inspected unless you told them- replace front mount, and didnt mention why you wanted it
If they diagnosed the mount they owe you an answer on the thunk
