the other day i noticed a horrible rattle/creak and after a few minutes of driving around with my son trying to find it, we decided it was coming from the engine compartment....

it is the coming from under the black plastic cowl that covers where the windshield wipers are....anyone have this issue

 

hmm thats a new one. have you tried your dealer? what type of gas do you use?

 

what would gas have to do with anything....its not coming from the engine, its coming from the engine compartment....its the black plastic cowl under the windshield wipers....

 

took me a while, but i tracked it down and fixed it....i pulled off the black plastic cowl around the windshield wipers, and found something called the umbrella, airconditioner hole....this piece is a shroud that protects your cabin air filter....

its was creaking and the noise was coming right into the cabin....i took it off and put some ept tape on it to make it a tight fit and noise is gone...

i can only imagine what my dealership would have said, my guess is we cant hear anything....

its back, i believe its the engine covers creaking and squeaking....that noise is making it into the cabin....

 

took the windshield cowl/cover off again, 3rd time....i now think the noise is coming from the 3 clips on the passenger side of the cowl...i wrapped them in ept tape and pulled off some of the old worn ept tape that was lining the cowl and replaced it as well....well see what happens....i suspect if i put enought of the ept tape in there i will find the right spot....
