Motor is knocking. It just started doing this today really bad. When i press on the gas it revs and makes more noise. Like a knocking noise. I checked the oil before i started the car. The car was sitting for about 12 hours before all this. Usually it makes a noise on cold start. But it goes away after few mins. But today it didnt. And it has gotten worse. I was pulling out of work and noticed the motor loud knocking sound. I turned back around and parked it back at work and took the truck home. Worried im going to make it worse if the engine is running or revving.

 

Sounds like it is time for a new motor.

 

 

It is best if you get a professional opinion and not take the word of some schmuck on the internet (that would be me ). Assuming your car does end up needing a new motor, check out car-part.com; you should be able to find a used motor in good shape for your car for a fraction of the cost of rebuilding your engine.

 

thank you for that, i really hope i dont need a new motor. The car is still driveable but i just dont want to drive it. It sounds like noise coming from the block head. I wish i could post the video i took but it wont let me post for some reason maybe because im a new member. However i wont be driving it and will be getting it towed to my cousins shop to get checked out. Hopefully he finds whatever it is. If all fails, i will be checking in on that website. Thanks again!
