Manual Transmission Fluid Check

Can someone describe or take a picture of exactly were the bolt is to check the manual 6 speed transmission fluid level on a 2010 TL? I know where to drain it and fill it but I can't find the check fluid level bolt.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Many manual transmissions don't have a dipstick to check fluid level, if that's what you're asking about.

I've seen that and it looks simple, but I can't see it. I'm sure it will be so obvious once I've actually found it.

I think there should be some sort of electric wires that go through a plate somewhere around there as well. That's about all I can say.

The drain plug for the tranny should be a 3/8's plug that goes into the tranny. Usually you want the level to be right at it. So when you open the plug some tranny fluid should come out meaning it's at level. Would be easier to check this with a hoist. You'll have to look at the tranny underneath the car. It won't be ontop.
