Exclamation Check Transmission Light turns on, but only after driving for a while

Hello Acurazine members,

I'm not sure if this is general how the Check transmission light works, but I got it earlier today while driving my 09 TSX (94k Miles) to the Gym after 10 minutes. When I turned my engine off and came back an hour later, the light was gone but showed up again after about roughly 10 more minutes of driving.

Is this normally how the check transmission light works or do you think it could be a sensor issue?

I checked the fluid level with the dipstick and it looks okay, I'm thinking about taking it to dealership to but wanted to see if anyone else had this same issue.

Thanks for any insight!

It's like the check engine light, but for the tranny. When it's on, there is a code set somewhere and the first step is to read that code to determine next course of action.

If the car drives fine, there's a good chance its one of the pressure switches or something. Go get the codes read - not sure if a regular code reader can read it or not though.

Hello Guys,

Just encountered this since problem, Check Trans light comes up and the D blinking light. the car however, drives just fine. I have a 2010 Acura TSX. I replaced the Trans filter and added a qtr of oil since it was a lil bit low.
The lights when off for around 3 days then came up again. same symptoms trans ligh and D blinking. Thus I'm 90% sure its a pressure switch, CAN ANYONE HELP ME FINE THE RIGHT SWITCH ???? I'm planning on installing it myself.

What's your mileage? Service the transmission. Do a flush to see if that helps.

May be a range sensor code... My RDX does this sometimes...
