Malfunctioning Driver Door Lock

I replaced the driver door actuator myself and the door continues to not lock/unlock under power only manually.

I checked the door lock fuse.

Would any other fuses control the driver power door lock?

I have read about faulty relays and multiplex units in previous gen TLs but I'm not sure if that applies to 4G

I am thinking that perhaps the issue is with the touch sensor at the back of the handle. Obviously something has shut down taking the rest of the system down with it, perhaps as a safety feature. Does the sensor work? Remote batteries maybe? Try to place the spare one in the trunk and close it, see if it refuses to close (make sure you have the other key handy!). Maybe the key has lost its programming? Is the switch in the glove box on? Just a few thoughts...

If you turn off the passive-entry function, and use the key fob "disarm" button to unlock doors, does the driver door lock work ?

Thanks for the suggestions

I'll try to give as many details as possible:

The touch sensor still recognizes and will lock if you manually lock the door, or unlock all but the drivers door.

THe drivers door will lock and unlock only by key or the manual button inside.

The power lock button doesnt work on the drivers but will lock everything else

The drivers manual button will lock or unlock all car doors

(passenger side works fine)

I've played around the the keyless switch and it doesn't change anything. Looking at the unit, the motor to power the actuator is not receiving a signal. I'm not sure if its a fuse but I'm going to take it all apart again and inspect the new part.

From your descriptions, it looks like there is no signal going to the driver door actuator.

Beside the fuse, there are also 2 relays. Each relay connects to one of the 2 wires going to the actuator.

It is easier to troubleshoot if you have a multi-meter. So you can measure if there is any voltage going to each sectional components in the system.

getting my airbag recall done friday and also having my driver door lock repaired.. Seems like its 'sticky' in that it doesn't always lock, and when it doesn't the car continues to cycle trying to lock the door above 5mph, so you have to manually lock it or have it annoy you... When it does lock or unlock it is a fairly harsh engagement/disengagement... The sensors seem to work fine, but something is off with it. I will report back after the fix.
