There is what looks to be a little light on the TL's ignition button. I have never seen this light (if it is a light) turn on. When I had a Prius as a rental, I took note that pressing the brake pedal illuminated the light on the ignition button indicating you can now press it to start the engine. Does this work similarly in the TL?

Basically, I am trying to determine the conditions, if there are any, under which this light (if it is a light) would turn on in order to find out of it should be fixed by the dealer.

 

I see it turn on when its in accessory and/or "on" mode (not sure which), but never when the engine is running.

 

Does it turn on at all before you press the button? Or is it just an indication that power is on when the engine is not?

 

I just tested this and I can confirm that the light turns on when in accessory mode and "on" mode, but not when the engine is running. Thanks Eli! It's good to know there isn't a problem with that, at least.

 

Doesn't make sense, but the light is functioning exactly as described in the manual. That's the big book in the glove compartment in case you haven't opened it up yet.
