Key Fob Issue - Can't Lock The Car
Key Fob Issue - Can't Lock The Car
I have a 2010 Acura TL 3.5L. When I park and turn off the car, the dash monitor says to remove the keyless entry remote. I never had the key fob in the ignition and I never once put the key fob in there since I got the car two months ago. I can't lock the car by pressing the button on the car door anymore, the car ringing sound goes on and the only way I can lock it is by pushing the key fob button and getting the actual key to lock the front door, locking the whole car. This problem has been going on all day for me and it is quite frustrating. I don't really know what to do or how to fix this b.s.
If anyone knows the trick to fix this I'd appreciate it

That's a very odd issue, I would unlock the car and undo the battery and leave it undone for 30 minutes and plug it back in. Make sure you have the radio code/navi code so when the car boots up you can type them in to get them to unlock.
2010 Acura TL key fob vs ignition switch
Funny thing happened to me after getting my alternator replaced by the Acura Dealer . . . my key fob stopped fitting into the ignition, my dash display says to remove the key that isn't in it and my fob no longer locks, unlocks, or other features. Dealership told me this particular key has known issues? . . . . . well so far google doesn't know about them and I have never heard of it from anyone. Funny in 10 years this has never ever happened, until the alternator replacement. They would sell me a new ignition switch on eternal back order or charge me a slight labor fee ($250.)to fix the issue, but I could never put the key in the ignition switch again. Any thoughts?

I actually put my fingers through the key fob slot and noticed the tray in it was pushed towards the outer part of it. What I did was push it back and right away the “remove keyless entry remote” on the dash disappeared and I was able to lock the car just fine. I guess when I went to go get my car serviced the mechanic put my key fob in. I don’t ever put it in as it is pointless since I have a push to start feature.

Dude thank you, I've been messing with this for two months and it's literally what you said it was.
