Picked up a 4G a few weeks back, and although it came with both keys, they we're in somewhat sad shape. Sourced a new plastic case and transferred over the guts from the worse of the two, but I've yet to figure out how to swap the key blade from the old key into the plastic bits of the new (uncut) one. If I knew some places that would just cut the new key to match, I'd do so, but I've so far struck out on even identifying this key pattern. Anyone know how the key blade plastic can be removed from and swapped without destroying it?

It's just a metal blank, nothing to break, but you can always peel off the silver plastic edge, remove the button and super glue it onto an old blank.
Well, it's the plastic I'm worried about, not the metal. Is the silver part holding two black clamshell halves together around the key blade "tang"? Does it need to be punched off in some way, and is it glued? I can't see any clear way it would "peel" off. An attempt to push it off only began to deform the plastic where I was applying pressure.

It's held on with glue, you need a small screwdriver to pry it out from inside.
