Hi Everyone,

I have a 2010 TL that is experiencing a very strange problem. It just started this morning. All of a sudden, my car can't tell the difference between driver 1 and driver 2. When I insert my driver 1 key, it thinks I am driver 2. All of my radio stations and settings are completely wrong. And strangely, my XM radio is just playing the preview station like I don't have a subscription. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if there is a simple fix. By the way, the driver 2 key also registers as driver 2.

Nevermind, user error. I just told my wife what was going on, and she informed me that when we got in the car, she had unlocked it with her driver 2 key, but then I drove the car with my driver 1 key. Evidently that kind of freaks the car out. I just had to lock and unlock with my driver 1 key to fix it.

 

Do you have the Base or the Tech with the keyless FOB?

 

My experience has been that Driver X has to lock and then unlock to pick up settings, but I can't recall if it works this way if the other fob is out of range or not.

 

I have to remind my wife of that every time I drive her mdx. I try to remember to hit 1 when I pull back in the garage.

Her keys also have a habit of unlinking themselves from the car because of all the crap in her purse.
