Intermittent Sqweaking sound
Intermittent Sqweaking sound
Hey y'all
My TL sometimes does a sqweaking sound comming front what seems to be the passenger side. The sound is not always audible. Must drive a little while to be able to hear it and yet sometimes no sqweaking. I have to keep the windows up to hear it or else the road noise will almost completly cover it up. . Sometimes it just goes away and comes back. Could it be suspension related?
My baby is still under warranty and I'd like to milk it as much as I can.
Any thoughts?

I like that : "sqweaking". Very descriptive!
Does your noise sound like the seatbelts in the backseat are vibrating?
The early 4G's had a fault in the roof construction. There is a TSB for the roof/sunroof/B-pillar rattle. I would not describe it as a squeak though.

There are so many things this could be that you'd have to probably hear it to even have an idea of what it could be. Have someone sit over there and listen to where it's coming from. Once you determine a location (either inside or outside the car), go ahead and start pulling stuff apart and tap on stuff to recreate the sound then find/fix the problem.
