Driving my TL today, I noticed a new sound. When I accelerate, a very noticeable metal-on-metal rattle is coming from the lower part of the driver's side dashboard. Almost sounds like it is behind the steering wheel belly pan or kick panel.

Anyone has this before? I have 5,000 miles on the car. It's going back in Thanksgiving week for the seat belt mechanism rattle to be fixed again and its first oil change.

Sad because I'm not even that picky...I drive a Mustang, for pete's sake!

This sounds a little like a problem I had. It ended up being the hood latch.

Thank you, that could certainly be it! Dropping it off tomorrow for this, a second attempt at the rattletrap seatbelt adjuster, and its first oil change - will report back.
