Fuse for seat memory
Fuse for seat memory
Anyone know which fuse is involved with the seat memory buttons on the driver door? Just realized my buttons aren't working. Can't program them, no green light, no action, etc. followed the instructions in the manual to be sure I was in Park with E Brake on but still nothing.
Looks like it could be either of the following fuses to check:
(You could have a bad switch too)
Driver Under dash fuses-16,12,24
Under hood main fuse box (the triagle shaped one) fuse 15
good luck

OK I see what you mean. Unfortunately I was also into my fuse boxes today, dammit, and they are difficult to ID. My stereo died. I did not manage to find the fuse so I gave up after a few tries.

So I drive 60 miles to dealership. The guy pushes the set button and it fricking works. Maybe when I was checking fuses I reset something but if that is the case I still don't know which one it was. Oh well at least it works now.
I am having the same problem. I remember it happening a while back and it miraculously started working again. Anybody found out why this happens? Could it be something with the switch or the computers memory electronics? Wonder what would happen if I disconnected the battery for a few seconds?
Well persistance finally paid off. Disconnecting the battery did nothing. A ran a search for seat memory issues and ran across a post on "would you believe it" a Lexus site thread.
Here's what it said, "Make sure you are in park with ignition ON. Assuming you are....
This sounds like the problem which occurs after power has been disconnected. The seats have to be "re-taught" their limits before the memory will work.
You should check your manual because I think different years have different procedures. Here's a couple posts from another thread:
What you have to do is move the seat back all the way forward using the power seat back switch until you hear a beep , then move the seat cushion back the entire way again using the power seat control, next move the seat cushion all the way forward using the power control. You can now put the seat in the position you desire and push set and #1.
1. Move the seat forward until you hear a beep.
2. Move the seat all the way back.
3. Move the seatback angle switch forward until you hear a beep
4. Move the seat back angle switch all the way reclined.
5. Set the memory now."
I got in and with the ignition on I moved the seat forward and then back, seatback forward and then back all the way. I did not really hear any beeps, but after cycling through the movements the seat memory functions again.
