Front and rear left speakers sound blown

2009 TL tech package, The left door speakers sound very bad/blown/no bass. It acutally sounds like the + and - are reversed. So I took out the front door speaker and plugged in another to hear the same bad sound. cracky sound every time base hits... Im going to take out the rear and test that one. any thoughs? bad left channel in factory amp possibly? broken wire somewhere? any troubleshooting tips?

There are several threads and posts about blown speakers.
I just had my passenger side front door speaker replaced under warranty, no questions asked. Do a search and read 'em and weep.

I replaced both my front door speakers after they started to sound like an AM radio speaker from the 1930's The hardest thing to do in the entire process is figuring out that one bolt on the panel behind the handle cover that was a b*tch to remove. The rear ones and the rest sound ok so far. Lots of issues with these "made in Mexico" speakers...

Okay... If you guys arent looking to put a little cash into putting better 2-ohm speakers into your car, do these settings to save your stock speakers. treble- +6, center +6, bass 0, sub +6. It may not be the exact sound u want but it will protect your speakers from getting damaged. I'm also in a 3rd gen with only 225 watts. Also you'll get more power turning off Dolby II. I only use this feature when driving with windows up to get the full effect of surround sound. If you don't mind paying 49/59/69 per pair for speakers, the best drop-in are infinity ans sister company JBL. Very bright/highs and tighter mid-bass.

You think the stock amp will have no problem powering these?
