Engine light on

I just got a 2004 tl and I really love it. I changed the air filter tonight to a k/n air filter and now the engine light is on. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks alot.

update

After I took the airfilter back out and put it in not upside down and took it for a drive the light turned off after about 15 minutes. I dont know why but it did. Lovin this car.
