Driver's Side Door Handle Key Shroud
Driver's Side Door Handle Key Shroud
Hey all,
I just got my 2012 TL and noticed that the driver's side key hole shroud was broken. So naturally, like a good car enthusiast, I went on line to find and buy the replacement part (pre-painted).
I own a Honda as well, and those are pretty easy to work on, but I have a couple of questions.
First, my car is "Mayan Bronze Metallic", but when I ordered the part by VIN number from Acurapartsnow.com, it listed the color as "Copper Glow Metallic". Is there a difference at all? I did a search on this forum as well as several other Google searches and can find anything.
Second, I'm fairly certain I'll have to take the interior door panel off...maybe just partly? but how hard is it to get in there to swap out. I believe there's a bolt that holds part of the shroud in place that may have broken off.
Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. (pics attached)
Thank you all in advance

I recently had the door apart to switch out the actuator. It's very easy to do. One screw above the door storage compartment, two under the panel in the handle, one under the rubber pad in the catch behind the window buttons and one more thats behind the black plastic part behind the window buttons. Once the screws are out you pry the whole door apart, which is snapped in place. Access at that point is easy to replace this part.
