JNC headlights Protective Coating

So I haven't even had these headlights for a year yet and they are already falling apart. The coating is just falling off the headlight. One worse than the other. Did any of you guys have this problem and what did you do to resolve this?

Are you sure that's a protective coating that JNC applied? Or is it just the factory clear coat?

I understand that he painted the inside but are you sure he applied a coating to the outside?

do you wax your headlights regularly? if you dont, that is your issue, a protective layer needs to be put on the headlight in order to prevent it from hazing.

trust me, my 2009 hazed up cuz i did not wax my headlights as much as i should have... what you can do is sand and buff it all out then reclear the headlights again.. or leave it unprotected with a nice thick coat of wax.

I doubt that was from jnc but I haven't ever used his services.

Either way its an easy fix. I have a 3G also and the similar happened to them; those headlights are stock. I took my orbital put some 105 followed by 205 compound on it and buffed the shit out of them. Once that was done I went with a finishing polish then waxed them and they looked brand new.

These are from JNC and i ordered these in the winter. My stock ones that I traded in we're from 2008 and were in better shape than what these are in now. JNC is not very helpful. My zkw-r lens he put in is jacked up to. I notified him about 3 months ago about my headlights peeling and lens but we he wanted to charge me to fix his mistake.

Out of curiosity, why do JNC headlights need a aftermarket coating, while the OEM don't ?
