The past little while I noticed that my Driver side mirror has a sort of haze/film on it, not sure what it is, MAYBE wax? but no clue.

I tried to scratch at it, and couldn't really get anything off.

Does anyone have any advice of what to try to get this clear and clean again? Could it be the blueish tint/film on the mirror that has gone bad?

Seems so wierd.

Any advice?

 

Difficult to tell without seeing it: can you post a picture? In any case, since your car is likely to be still under warranty, if I were you I'd report it to the dealer and ask their opinion.

 

Thank you for posting...The wife and i test drove a TL SH-AWD manual yesterday and the drives side mirror had a bluish tint to it...But this car had not yet be detailed and still had the shipping material on the hood and trunk, so I chalked it up to being shipping film...Now I'm not so sure

 

i believe all TLs have a bluish tint to the side mirrors ... atleast all the ones i have driven do, and i believe their function is to make other car's headlights much brighter at night so when you are driving you do not miss them. could be wrong though, but i feel like this is what my mirrors do for me
