Downshift/Learn Mode

Hi guys,

As I'm braking from about 40 or just letting the car slow down, I sometimes get a very pronounced kickdown, something I don't notice on other cars I've owned/driven. It can be a bit startling, actually. Of course the dealer says it's normal. Is there any way to address this? I notice that when I get the car back from the dealer the tranny doesn't seem as bad, and I'm wondering if it's in the learning mode, perhaps because they briefly disconnected the battery? This may sound crazy, but is it possible to leave the tranny in the learn mode permanently?

Thanks!

far as I know, it'll stay permanent as long as you never disconnect the battery, which is a pretty standard step when they service the car.

That's probably why it feels different when you get it back. That's all I got

disconnect battery, let the car reset and recalibrate.
