Door Seals and Freezing Rain

I am concerned about the outer door seals along the top of the doors on my '12 TL. I have used a silicone lube on the outer and inner side of the seals. The seals look fragile and I am concerned they do not get damaged during freezing rain since they form a barrier to the inner door seals. What experience do others who live in freezing climates have on 3g or 4G models?

So what's your problem?
You want them to get damaged?

Anyways,
I live in Wisconsin. Had no problem there with the cold, ice and whatever.

If the '09, '10', and '11 TL owners have gone through the several winters and have no complaint about the door seals, you shouldn't be worrying about them in the winters.
