Hey all,

My fathers 4th gen 09 tl tech pkg has been causing a few problems lately. He has been complaining about them, maybe due to the fact that I just wound up with a 2015 TLX so now subconsciously he thinks his car is starting the phase of problems.

He has it set so when he stops and shifts to park the doors unlock. Well, sometimes the drivers door only does not unlock. He brought it to Acura but since it is only intermittent they were unable to duplicate the problem.

His car has only 80K miles and his extended warranty ends in a few months so we are hoping to fix this and a couple other things before the warranty is up.

anyone else have similiar problems or ideas on how to get that problem to show at the acura dealer? thanks

On another note his window visor that you flip down when the sun is in your eyes sags down about a half inch. Been like that since he bought it new but he never cared to fix it till now. Acura says they will NOT cover it under warranty. Is that just ridiculous or what?

 

Will the driver door always unlock when your dad uses the outside door handle or the inside toggle switch to unlock/disarm ?

 

I was going to ask him to test that theory to see if he can hit the unlock button if that works vs him just manually unlocking that individual door. We will test it out this week next time it happens

 

Our 2014 TL had the same problem with the visor. It was brand new, but the visor would drop down an inch or two. I took it to our local Acura dealer (where we bought the car) and they fixed it under warranty.
