Cracked tail light

Hey guys.

My left tail light has been cracked for almost a year now. I never took the time to take a photo.

I have no idea how it happened, any ideas? When I run my finger over it, it feels very smooth, as if the crack is on the inside. Is this even fixable without replacing the whole light?

the surrounding area is fine, what could have cause this?

thanks.

I would'nt worry about it. It's been like that for a year and if you are not having problems or it does'nt have a hole in it where water can get in it leave it alone till it shits the bed.

I would leave it alone. My front turn signal has a spider web crack, probably from a rock. It's smooth also from the outside. You would think that it being in the front taking the elements, I would need to replace it ASAP.

Well, it's been a year and no water seepage or any other problem. I'll bank the $100+ until a giant rock hits it and shatters it!

My left front driving light has a hole about the size of a thumbnail. I bought some "clear lens tape" at an Auto supply store and now its not even noticeable.
