2012 TL AWD check engine oil message came on however I have 30% on the oil level showing.

Yes but check your dip stick. How much actual oil is in the engine?

 

If you look at the message carefully, you will notice that the 30% is not "oil level" but is "oil life remaining".

"oil level" reading is not the same as "oil life remaining" reading.

The 4G TL does not indicate "oil level" in numerical representation.

All that it has is a "low oil" warning, which signals that your engine is running seriously low in engine oil, and should be topped up ASAP to prevent damage to the engine.
