My nav turns blk n white and the background on audio also dims, is this a battery problem? I have a redtop battery i installed 3 months ago

I really doubt that's a battery problem. Does the rest of the electrical behave normally?

Can you describe the problem a little more? When does this happen exactly?

 

All the inside lights are dim and stay like that while the car running, the navi is in blk n white like its in safe mode same with audio

Hold down the buttons at the same time: Menu - Map - Cancel for about 5 seconds. The "Select Diagnosis items" screen will appear. Go into the detail testing and find the menu for testing the screen. See what the test comes up with. A more detailed procedure must be in your owners manual for the Navi.

 

It almost sounds like a big ground might be loose somewhere. If it were mine I would check the tightness of connections at all major points (battery, alt, chassis ground, etc)
