ATLP exhaust

what would be a great combination for the 09+ atlp exhast? Would you recommend a race cat pipe or hi flow cat? Just trying to get an idea before actually buying it?

do you want to smell fumes or do you not want to? do you want to hear drone? do you want a somewhat quiet exhaust? or do you want full race exhaust?

those are more of the important questions..

I have a Y-Pipe, high-flow cat and the atlp exhaust (resonated). Sounds nice, and not too much drone. If you don't live in an emissions state you could get a b-pipe (straight pipe), but if you are concerned about air quality in general, go with the high-flow cat.

Thank for the info cerberusky! No fumes, a decent drone, fairly quiet exhaust. I think a resonated exhaust with high flow cat n a j pipe might work for my need.

Not sure if you can get a resonated one anymore... check with Heel-Toe. They say there is not much difference in the sound, but since I have never heard the un-resonated version, I could not vouch for that personally. You could always add your own resonators in, if you wanted to quiet it down a little.

look into y-pipe, high-flow cat, and magnaflow mufflers, keeping the stock exhaust pipe from the cat back (cut off the stock mufflers, and weld on the magnaflows). I think this may get you what you are looking for, and reduce the cost as well. Check out the sticky in Performance Parts, I think it is called "pseudo's guide to add power to your 4g"
