I am having an issue that I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with (or something similar). I did a bit of searching and wasn't able to find anything that would guide me in the right direction.
I spilled some liquid on my passenger seat about 3 months ago. I dried up all I could and didn't use the seat warmer and blasted the heat for weeks trying to dry it out. I am now getting the Airbag light on my dash for Code 92-2 (only code showing). As far as I can tell this is the pressure sensor or a ground issue. Does anyone know the part number for the pressure senor so I can start with that? Also, Should I just look for corrosion on the grounding points of the seat to the frame or is the ground a separate wire or in the harness.
I'd like to resolve this as having that error pop up on the dash is annoying and I'm worried this would impact the safety of my passengers as the fault could be disabling the airbags by default.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
I'm looking at the manual and it seems to be the passenger airbag cutoff indicator. This seems strange to me as the part that actually would be replaced as it is in the dash...(going to have to find somewhere that sells that). Other than that it only mentions the srs unit being damaged.
I'm not sure that dropping in a used srs unit may be the best idea so if I can't see any corrosion of items under the seat, I may just have to bring it to a local shop and see if they can help as I am way out of warranty and would probably be looking a huge bill bringing this to any of the dealers near me( CT )
I was thinking there must have been a smaller sensor or harness in the seat that got wet but they don't mention those as a troubleshooting step. I'm guessing that's because they didn't think I would be spilling stuff on the seat lol
Ok so I am feeling kind of stuck does anyone know what the part number for the hazard switch for a 2014 tl?
I've looked at all the documents and can't see how this part would have been damaged but I also cannot get it to light up.
This seems too easy of a solution but I cannot seem to find the part number for this. Does anyone know what it is called or what else to try replacing after this?
