Aesthetic Damage Repairs? (Paddle Shifters, Gear lever and Selector Knob)

Hey guys,

I've got a few issues with my TL. The gear selector lever's leather is worn off (it's peeling), the paddle shifters coating is wearing off, and my center selector knob is squeaking and hard to turn. Do you guys know if these can be replaced under warranty by the dealer? The car is just over a year old (2012 FWD w/ Tech package, 29k miles).

Thanks.

unless its a factory defect which should have been detected long before 29k then it will be covered under warranty.

just fyi, warranty does not cover negligence..

Alright, so that crosses out the gear lever and the paddle shifters (Scratching against my jewelry, not a big deal). But the Selector Knob has not been neglected at all. Nothing spilled, nothing mis-used at all. Just normal twisting and turning.

Just bring it to the dealership.

You've nothing to lose. Sometimes you'll be surprised by what good relationship with a dealership can do for you in warranty claims.
