Defective Tire?

I have one tire on my 4GTL that looses about 2lbs of pressure a week. Very slow leak to me, but Ive taken it to the dealer twice and they tell me that the tire is fine. They cant find anything in the tire? Could it be the valve or something? Anyone else had this problem?

If tire and valve are fine, then the only thing is that the rim is defective...
Possible but unlikely, my friend's legend had this problem many few years ago.

I think my rim may be defective, I had it replaced after an accident. One tire's pressure slowly went down over 2 weeks. I had the valve stem changed but it happened again. I stopped complaining the the repair place because it just kept slowly slowly leaking after 3 attempts to fix it. I thought the tire was messed up after the collision because they didnt change my tires.

I just replaced my tires with conti dws and even after new tires the leak still persists. Im almost sure its the rim leaking.

Has anyone else had to deal with this? How do I take care of it?

Slow leak can be caused by corrosion at the rim's edge where the tire bead is sitting on. The corrosion prevents the tire from sealing properly on the rim.

What the tire shop did was dismounted the tire, ground off all the corrosion, applied some black sealing stuff all along the rim edge, then remounted the tire. That took care of all my occurrences of slow leak.
