Advice

Just got a new used 2013 Acura TL sh-awd and noticed later some fogging in the passenger headlight. Any ideas for home remedies? Also what oil do you guys suggest? I hear a lot of different things?

If the headlight has condensation on the inside then it will need to be opened up, cleaned and resealed. If the outside is just worn and hazy then it can be wet sanded and sprayed with a clear coat.

For oil any brand of 5w-20 synthetic would be fine.

The condensation is on the inside. I’ve heard you can get it resealed possibly? Just not sure who does work like? And also thinking just go new and not worry.

Appreciate the info, great site I’m sure I’ll have a lot more questions soon

I haven't had to deal with headlight issues like that. I'd just purchase a new headlight unit if it weren't $500+ (that's what they run on OEM parts sites). I wonder if you might find a used one on eBay for cheaper. Then just replace it.

I use Mobil 1 extended performance oil with the M1-104 (has a bit more capacity than the M1-110 filter that the TL calls for).

eBay sounds like a great idea. Been checking junk yards but no luck with that. Definitely will be looking eBay and Amazon today. Also thanks for the oil info. Was the one you mentioned synthetic?
