For 6mt owners - clicking noise when depressing clutch pedal?

Just wondering if anyone is noticing a slight "click" sound when depressing the clutch. It looks like when you release the clutch, the clutch pedal hits this black button against the dash portion which is spring loaded. Then when I press down on the clutch, the black button is released making a clicking noise. It feels like they forgot to put a rubber washer in there or is everyone elses like this too? If you look at the clutch pedal arm, there's a white circular plastic piece. The white plastic piece is what is hitting this black button thing, kind of like when you press the back of a pen. When you press it and release it it clicks. Anyone know what this button even does? Thanks.

I guess the "clutch switch" prevents you from starting in gear. Looks like this "clicking" is not an isolated problem. I would like to hear from fellow 6mt owners if they hear the clicking noise.

So after doing some more research, it looks like it's called the clutch switch assembly (inhibitor). #21 on this diagram

Would still like to hear if others hear this "click" that I am talking about.

I don't have that issue yet with my 4g. However it became an issue on my 3g after about 20000mi. Took it (3g) to the dealer and they said it was the throw out bearing. The said they fixed it, a month later it was doing it again. I expect this one to do it as well...I will deal with it on a dealer level or just keep the radio on.

I get this on my 06 with 52k on the clock. it comes and goes. sometimes it is there, sometimes it ain't. It is totally annoying. Someone posted a procedure, I am going to give that a go once I a) get some lithium grease and b) get some time to do it
