09 TL tranny issue
Just tonight my tranny slipped and the rpm's spiked when I pulled out slow and it shifted between 1 and 2.I've read about Torque converter problems with the TL'S.I bought the car 4 weeks ago with 62k miles. Are there any extended warranties on these problems?
most extended warranties don't cover pre-existing conditions and have a 1000 mile clause before you can file a claim.
Are you sure the transmission is slipping? 62K is not that many miles and you are 2K outside the 60K powertrain warranty. Perhaps acura might pick up some of the cost of it.

you have 7 years or 70,000 miles powertrain warranty whichever comes first. some powertrain parts have even more coverage under warranty but let me not quote the booklet if you read the manual you can get even more details..
When was the last time or have you ever changed the transmission fluid? Has the transmission fluid ever been changed on that car?..
Honda is know to have transmission problem i.e shift solenoid issues, slips in changing and so forth. You can feel the difference when the transmission fluid has been changed it shifts smoother. Maybe you should look into getting the fluid changed first.
Here is a link to the booklet just follow the prompts

A tranny oil change can do magic most of the times. However if you haven't done one according to the schedule then it may be complicated. However, let the car warm up a bit, especially in cold weather, before you put it into gear and start shifting. Yes, at freezing cold temps the tranny shifts and gives you a kick in the neck!
