Thinking of tinting my headlights to match my tails and rear markers. I used a light smoke tint in the rear and would do the same to my headlights and turn signals. Looking for pics of cars with this done because I don't like the pics I've found online. Thanks in advance
Honestly this is just a bad idea and probably illegal, why compromise your headlight illumination for a tint? I don't think you'll find anyone who has done this on here. You might find someone who has applied a clear 3M vinyl but that's about it.
Don't listen to these guys...they're just jealous. But I think I can save you a few bucks. Why tint, when you can just get a can of paint? A former member here did something similar, and I think he was really pleased with the result. Check out the link to his post: "Spray painted my fog light"
Word of advice, though...it likely is illegal, so only drive at night. Police can't catch what they can't see.
there are better ways of achieving the desired look.
clean and classy modifications are hard and rightfully so..
my idea of modding is function over form....if it doesnt have some sort of function, why bother doing it? the whole point is to improve not step down..
think of it this way, execute mods that would have come from the factory.
you can modify the insides of the headlights by performing surgery to achieve the desired look.
or if you are not good with your hands, you can pay a service to someone!

Send them to JNC if he's still doing them. Have him modify them from the inside.
Tails, I never understood...they make the biggest visual statement on the back of the car and tinting them (especially on a dark colored car) takes them out of the equation and makes it look like a big blob with no definition.
Honestly, it looks pretty good, but think the color of your car makes it. I'm not sure all colors would look as good. Now with that being said, its sad to see that your fog lights look like they would be brighter than your headlights. Do you have any night shots showing / comparing / contrasting light output?
I will take a few shots on my WY to work tonight and post them. Honestly, they headlights are a shade darker than the fogs, but that was what I was goin for. As for driving at night, at first they were dark but lighten up over time, I love the look though.
That looks so tacky and cheap. I'm immediately teleported back to my high school days when a friend of mine bought these for his 94' Mustang.
You guys supporting or encouraging this need a CT scan. If you want to make your 09-11 headlights look darker just upgrade to the blacked out 12-14 TL headlights and call it a day.
I think he meant darkness in comparison to output...not the actual darkness when looking at them with the lights off (low vs fog)
