Glad I'm not the only freak to take getting the first few spaces VERY seriously! Nicely done!

J.

PS...car is looking great, Brian...you lowered it more than I ever thought you would. Gorgeous.

Im surprised you dont back in to spots like that. Im just afraid of ever goin to close to the curb and damaging the front bumper.

I was at a meet and a brand new is350 went too far while parking and got a huge crack on his bumper...sad

I was confued a bit at first since the front looks like an SH-AWD but then the exhaust tips didnt look the part. But reading through the thread I got it figured out, very nicely done. I really like the way the vossens look on there expecially the color combination you went with.

I have three, one being about 17 pounds, its a maine coon, and he still uses the cat genie, asll three of the cast use it. Definitely look into it, it takes number 1 and 2 and turns it into fluid and sends it down the washing machine's drain.

Well I am finally getting to refinishing the hood. I was never really ever happy with it. When I bought the car, there was a small one inch scratch in the hood. The car was brand new, so I asked the dealership if it could be fixed with their affiliated Lexus Body shop a mile down the road. They said sure, so we arranged an appointment for me to leave my car at Acura so it could be taken over to the body shop. Well Acura has a lot lizard that does bumper repairs and screws up all sorts of crap. Nonetheless I was lied to and they took my car to the tent out back to fix it. I was livid at this point because I knew the guy was okay at best.

Anyway's one night i went to check on the hood since it is all open in the back of the dealer. I saw my hood painted with 100 dust nibs/trash in the surface along with other paint defects, it looked horrible!! I was so mad. A couple days later I got the car back and the hood looked alot better because it was completely wetsanded and polished. Sure it looked decent but it has no factory orange peel, I am really anal about everything matching. Texture and color are important for a constant finish. Not only did the fenders not match because they had factory peel, but the hood was swirl city! Like deep swirls.

Well I lived with it for two years and now that I have gotten some rock chips, I am repainting the hood and putting the OEM factory texture back in!

Hope you enjoyed the story.

Hood came out good, but i can't get away without blending the fenders and that a job the body shop can do so I will be dropping it off which is why i took the grille out.

just got the car out of the body shop for three weeks, took it in for chip and warranty repair on the hood, they had to blend all the way into the front doors to get the color to match.

Hmmm...can we also revisit your rear while you have the paint bought and the booth set up?! See if you can get it to work?
