Croak's 2011 Acura TL
Hello, new member here. My name is Dan. I'm actually a BMW Service Manager here in Oregon but.... my old lady has finally retired her 2005 Civic EX that she has had since we were in high school and we bought this 2011 TL. Needless to say, we're extremely excited.

It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the TL vs some of the BMW's you've driven in.

It's a FWD Tech package.

Compared to the new BMW's I'd say it most resembles the 5-series. However, there are many things I like about the TL that I very much dislike about the new BMW's (I have several old school BMW's).
-Runflats are terrible! The TL is smooth and quiet since it doesn't have them.
-The "I-drive" or Acura Satellite Navigation seems to be a bit more user friendly. (at least for first time users, i'm obviously use to the BMW but... Give credit where due).
-Service intervals, I feel much more safe with a 7,500 mile oil change interval than BMW's 15,000!!!
-Obviously the reliability of a Honda/Acura car.

Don't mind that particular member, you can definitely do an introduction in this section. The mods will move the thread if it's that much of an issue.

Haha. We'll ease into that. I'll see what I can come up with.
Yes. Like I said, I have some 70's 80's and 90's BMWs but there's not really any new ones that we'd like to have. This TL has 17k miles and is certified to 100k. I just see how BMW has kind of gone in a very strange direction IMO so we steered clear of them. Not to mention this is a hell of a lot more car for the money than a 2 year old 3 series. Kendall Auto Group is Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Acura, Chevy, etc so the car was traded into the Lexus store but thankfully it was certified at the Acura side.![Why Me](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/whyme.gif)

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I've tried to search but what are the best sites/companies that manufacture things like intake, exhaust, lips/splitters, chips etc? (I'm new to the Acura world). Thank you in advance.

Welcome and congrats! For high flow pre cats/pre cat deletes and j pipes I recommend RV6 (http://rv6-p.com/tl/4th-gen.html), for catback's there are many options but I cannot recommend any of them since I think they ruin the TL. Read this thread it'll give all the info you need regarding performance upgrades (https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-295/pseudos-guide-adding-power-your-4g-854092/), the only one not there is the CT-E icebox, I have it, I like it, I don't know if it's worth $525.
Lips stay oem, the full kit runs for under 870 shipped.
