CBP TL Progression Thread. Completed...
...For now.
Wanted to share the progression of my 4G TL over the past 20 months I've had it.
Big thanks go out to:
JnC (Headlights & Tails)
Rondy (RonJon Grille and Wheels)
Josh @ XLR8 (Full Exhaust & H&R Springs w/ Install)
Nexson (Rear trim piece)
And to everyone on the 4G board. I wouldn't have been able to make it this far without all the help from everyone on AZ. Happy Modding!
Started off with this ugly bastard from the Dealership:

I wanted to put some dedicated winter tires on, since I was planning on getting 20's in the spring. Also gave it a full detailing.

Drove my headlights up to JnC for some of his special magic.
Before:

After

Springtime finally came, and it was time for the RJ Grille and RJ Legend Type II's in 20".

Wasn't going to be content with just that. So I bought the H&R Springs and had those installed.
Total drop was about 1.8 inches.

Next was time for Exhaust. Did the full system from XLR8 - Couldn't be happier.

Was absolutely sick of looking at that rear trim piece. I just wasn't a fan of that being silver. Reached out to Nexson to see if he could paint one for me.
After I saw the trim piece installed and painted - the tail lights were also in need of some help.
Drove those up to JnC last weekend and he did an amazing job (as per usual).

And here is how it sits today. No plans for anything else at this time.

Nice! I like how you posted the pics in order from start to finish.
The RJ grill looks very classy on CBP, and the grill & headlight combo really transforms the car. Part of me thinks that's the grill Acura should have used from the beginning instead of the obnoxious muzzle.
One question: what color paint is the rear silver trim? Looks almost like midnight chrome?

Pete, that is absolutely outstanding. It's a TL that you can be VERY proud of.

You've done an outstanding job with the mods. It clearly shows all the work you've put in to keep the CBP looking clean...
BTW everytime i push the gas pedal on my ride and hear that exotic sound out the rear pipes it put a smile on my face and am sure it does the same for you

Thanks. I need to mess around with the hangers a bit, re-adjust after I took the bumper off to replace the rear trim piece.

Concur, the shape of the XLR8 exhaust tips is a nice fit for the 4G body style. Completely round tips are best suited for other cars.

Haha - you know they did just finally finish putting on that new siding. It only took them like 8 months to finish that and a tiny deck...
Clearly I won't be using their contractor.
black out by jnc
sup man yo car look fine as hell. but can you tell me how to contact JNC the head light guy? do he have a number or something? or email? cause i want to back out my head light too. thank you very much.....
I did mine myself, but JnC is second to none!

Thanks.
Haven't had my yearly inspection yet, but I'll likely just take it to Acura of Boston since I get free inspection stickers since I bought my car from them. I don't see how they would have a problem. I didn't do a test pipe, i did the HFC.
amazing how one can turn an ugly turd into something drool worthy
one suggestion though, change out the amber turn signal bulbs in the tails and lower front bumper for the chrome ones. they light up amber but look chrome when off. any auto store should care them i think.
