Allow me to introduce myself...

Well...My name is Carlos, Los. Back in February, I talked the wife into trading the Tahoe in for a car again (she traded in her '06 M45 Sport pkg. for a damn '07 Tahoe ). I came across a VOSSEN ad with a BEAUTIFUL Basque Red Pearl...Brian, Nexson's...and the hunt was on! Took a little over a month to find one we wanted, Basque Red Pearl w/Tech. and with Taupe interior, it was at Acura of Riverside (for all you So. Cal. folk), they gave us EXTRA on our trade in and even got to talk them down to the numbers we wanted! The mileage was higher than we wanted (49k)...but it's a "Honda" and Acura of Riverside has an EXCELLENT certified used Acura extended warranty.

It's taken me a few months to finally post it up here...but we love the TL...had to talk ourselves out of the SH-AWD 6sp though...my wife and I are both import car-heads and that would only mean MODS-MODS-MODS! lol...anyway, here's the soon to be "predecessor" to Nexon's

only "modifications" so far are:
- tint
- LED DRL's and rear LED license plate bulbs
- JL front door speakers (when we got home we realized the infamous blown speaker)
- Just bought some red tint for the tails and some "brushed aluminum gunmetal gray" vinyl for the beak and rear trim.

'09 BRP TL w/Tech. pkg , Taupe interior and 18 in. rims (they kind of look "gunmetal" Next is 20x9.5 Work VS-XX's in GOLD w/polished lip and a drop with camber kit.

Welcome! The gold will look really nice with BRP. I would of went w/ the 6MT though. Notice you have +'12 wheels on a '09. That is odd. And yes it is a darker grey but not gunmetal. And don't forget the lip kit!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I have to admitt that BRP is A LOT better looking in person. I'm actually curious as to how GOLD is gonna contrast with it too...we'll see!

We WERE going to do custom offsets...but everyone that we got quotes from Said it would be a 8-12 week lead time! So, gonna call Evasive Motorsports & see if they carry Work's "standard" offsets.

Yeah, if I can't find the parts to make that 2009/2012 "Frankenstein" grill...then I think we'll just color match this "beak" to the car...as well as the rear piece.

Ya know, I figured these weren't 09 rims, just didnt know WHAT YEAR. Thanks for clarifying Oh, and LIP KIT will be the mod after rims...I like RonJon's lip kit...but I found a painted OEM kit for $1000 shipped online. We'll see.

new little update/mod..."Sport Pedals".

I like 'em (I still need to drill two more holes, my bits broke and couldn't make it to Home Depot on time)

Got a couple more "little" mods...working on a "BIG" mod, hopefully by the end of the week.

Check out this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/sport-pedals-884004/

There are a couple of different ebay sellers to order them from. It seems that both sellers have the same pedals, but one sells them for around $45 and the other $29.

Haha...that's EXACTLY where I found them...in THAT thread. I bought the $29 ones, shipping from overseas was QUICK and quality was great (especially for the price).

Thanks, yeah, those pedals grew on me until I just had to buy 'em. Either way, it was only $29, so if I ended up NOT liking them, not much of a loss.

I'm glad everything work out for you with the wheels.
Put them on. You be fine even at stock height.
That lip could use some polishing.

Yeah, shipping was a PAIN...if I only would have known, but they're here.

The polishing is another reason why they will wait to be put on, we're ready to pull the trigger on the coilovers...so, while we wait for those, I'll take a stab at polishing the stains out. I might just throw them on to see how they sit though, why not, huh? haha

thanks guys!

Not sure if it's the original lips. If they are not then they might not have clear. One way to find out is to hit it with Mothers Aluminum polishing compound. If the compound turn black after a little polishing then it doesn't have a clear coat.

Work reverse lip are chrome not polished....u will have to take faces off and send lip/barrels off to get dipped. Plus those lips are tiny; I'm guessing a +35 offset.

Burning black finish is nice though.

source?

and offsets are +37 front and +32 rear (9 all around according to aspecallday's thread)...they are actually FYAH's old VS-XX's.
