Should have gone darker, people can still see you day time, or would anymore be illegal in your state?

 

Actually it is darker than what is legal in Ohio. 50% is the maximum here. There is an exception if you have a note from you Optometrist, which I luckily have.

 

I have 35% on the fronts and 20% on the rear/back windows in NYC, surprisingly the cops have yet to pull me over

 

i had to remove my 35 % tint, from 2 front doors , and now it looks like suv (hate it) but what else i can do... this cops here in NY going crazy with tickets ... in january alone i got pulled over 3 times for tint, 3 tickets-$280 buks

 

I guess I've just been lucky. I mostly roam in the upper west side bronx (near riverdale), east mid town (79-70th st) and rockland county... whenever I see a cop though I lower the music and drive like an angel.

Haha,i am guilty of that as well,btw Sgt 128 very nice tint,i have the same and i am very pleased with it,not too light and not too dark.

 

That's why I went with 40% on my wife's car. Since the car comes with a certain percentage of tint from the factory. Add the 40% tint,it is still considered illegal in CT. What a bunch of Bull, but?

If you don't mind me asking, how much $ did the tinting run you? I've been told the TL needs specials carbon fiber tints because of the rear window antennas or something.

How much is the tint? Do you get it from Acura dealer store or local retails?

 

I went with 3M tint. Cost me $229. Not bad. Was quoted $259 by Tint Masters.

 

wow my tint guy charges 100 bucks for whole car and he does great job he has done my last two cars and i never had even one issue what so ever.The crazy things is he will be done in 10 min no exaggeration i have never seen anyone work so fast and have it come out flawless

 

I ended up getting the tint for $240 with tax. went with Tint World in SoFla and carbon fiber tints apparently.
