2009 TL "Stealth"
Or so that's what the dealer at Lindsay Acura in Columbus, Ohio called it. It's the FWD tech with 19" upgraded wheels, "rhinoplasty" (dealer called it "RP") matching paint for the grill and back lip, and full clear bra (grill, hood, mirrors, etc.)--had a $50k sticker though
But, it looked so nice, it inspired me to do the same (minus the 19" wheels) to the CBP/Umber/SH-AWD I leased yesterday. I pick it up on Tuesday.
I only wished I had something wider than my 28-70mm with me so I could have taken wider shots:

At first I liked the entire painted look because it brought it back down to 'normal' looking. But now driving this car for 2 months, I DO NOT like the all painted out look. Especially seeing one in person, it is just too many lines and breaks in the car. It looks silly. I personally just got the center grill painted, but left the outer trim of the grill and the rear silver panel. I think this brings the front under control, but remains unique. Drive it for a bit before painting it as you do not want to regret it.

Jesus you guys. Yo HDCol, paint it if you think it looks better, make your own call. Do what you want to do. If you like the silver grill, then leave it! Jeez. HOLD THE PHONE, a sticker of $50K for a FWD??? IMO - those rims are ugly and don't compliment the TL. Something's rotten in Ohio!

Saw a TL done up in a similar fashion when I was test-driving. Base TL with 10k of extras like painted trim, rims, etc. Almost 48K OTD. You know someone will walk in and drive that home.
BTW, all I get is compliments on the painted grill and truck piece. But what matters most is that I like it that way. If you don't, then don't paint yours.

I guess it's subjective. I never had any intention of painting anything. In fact, if they would have had the Grigio in the model I wanted, would have never looked back. I thought the showroom model looked nice, so I decided to do it

I went in my local dealership for a test drive on AWD & there was a NBP with painted grille & chrome back just like this one ... IMO it looks a lot better this way ... I'm kind of on the fence now ...

I've never said anything negatively about your choice to keep your grill or just paint the center. I say to each their own--if you like it, great, if not, your opinion.
No disrespect intended--but we all get that you don't like it. Personally, I think my choice is quasi-unique and after having my 3G SSL for 3 years--let's just say there are a lot of those on the road.

I like the way it looks coming from the factory, but the blacked out look isn't bad. Everybody wants there car to be the way they want it, thats why the aftermarket industry is huge. I say if you like it do it.

I agree with columbus and rehab. I'm glad there are options for owners. It gives them the chance to make their car unique from other owners. So far, I've seen 3 variations on the nose. What works for one owner might not for another. Life is all about choices....
I like the stealth looks-it's mysterious, it's dark-it's cool to me!

Picked up mine last night and it does not look "cheap", "ghetto", or "Camry" to me.

So now you can take better pics, right? Why are you here posting? Get to work, slacker! Some shots of the front and side profile would be appreciated.

Good point. I'll be back up there next week because they did not paint the back due to a misunderstanding This is why I haven't posted more pics yet. But when I go back there, I'll grab a pic of the sticker. I'll get some shots of the front and sides of mine this weekend.

Sorry, didn't do any research, but is there an option for chrome for those aluminum pieces? Maybe a Chrome might set the car off a little better than cheap aluminum. Can anybody photoshop Chrome?
